WASHINGTON, DC — Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter today announced that Hampstead Fire Rescue will receive $475,000 to purchase a new fire rescue vehicle. The vehicle, called a quintuple combination pumper, or “quint,” is a fire service vehicle that serves the dual purpose of an engine and a ladder truck. This grant is provided by the Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program of the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the Department of Homeland Security.
“Hampstead Fire Rescue will be able to perform their jobs more efficiently with this new vehicle,” said Congresswoman Shea-Porter. “New Hampshire has the best first responders in the country and I am pleased they will receive this support.”
