Concord - Today, House Democrats passed their proposal to keep the state's budget in balance. NHDP Chair Ray Buckley issued the following statement praising the efforts of Governor Lynch and Democrats in the House and the Senate for their ongoing hard work on this issue.
"Democrats in the House, Senate, and Governor's office are working diligently to come up with a serious solution to keep New Hampshire's budget in balance."
"The thoughtful and difficult discussion Democrats are having on this important issue stands in stark contrast to the intellectually bankrupt Republican Party."
"It is shameful that Republicans can't even muster the minimal amount of integrity required to propose a real alternative or at least be honest with the public that they don't have one."
"If Republicans are incapable of putting the interests of the Granite State above their own political ambitions, they should step aside and let Democrats keep New Hampshire one of the lowest taxed, lowest spending, best places to live in the country."
"The absurdly vague recommendations proposed by Rep. Kurk are nothing more than political posturing. We can't solve the serious challenges facing our state with political slogans and half-baked ideas. His suggestions are insincere at best. At worst, they represent the clearest example to date of Republican's total disrespect for the taxpayers."
