In Case You Missed It: Jim Bender Makes Statement on Don't Ask Don't Tell Repeal
Thursday, May 27, 2010 at 08:19AM Jim Bender, Republican candidate for US Senate spoke to the Valley News about the vote pending in Congress that would repeal the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell policy.
“Let's not rush into a decision. The Pentagon needs ample time to complete its study and have a blueprint for implementation before a vote is taken. It is important that any new policy does not interfere with our military operations,” Bender said in an e-mail. “As I see it, the American people aren't demanding immediate action on this issue. What Congress needs to do immediately is find ways to revive our economy and get people back to work.”
