When I was a young child my father told me that everything we have in this great nation is a gift, made possible by the sacrifices of people we will never meet. Now that I am a parent myself, I am awestruck by the extraordinary courage, honor and dedication of the men and women who serve. Without their commitment to preserving the freedom that our founding fathers fought so hard for, we would live in a very different America.
We must not ever forget the service of these brave men and women, and remember the sacrifices made by their families as well.
Since the onset of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, forty of our own Granite State sons have lost their lives in the effort. Our gratitude for their sacrifice is unending and we will forever remember their families in prayer.
On this Memorial Day, as you enjoy time with your family and friends, please find a moment to remember those who have given us the gift of the greatest, freest nation on earth.
p.s. Each year I attend the Memorial Day Parade in Nashua with my children. Please
join my family to watch the parade from in front of our campaign office at 88 Main
St on Monday May 31 at 10:30am. Bring your flags and we will provide the lemonade
