CORNERSTONE REACTS TO AG'S RULING ON NOM "LYNCH LIED" ADS

CONCORD – Today, the New Hampshire Attorney General's Office issued its decision relating to whether advertisements being funded by Americans For Jobs Security and the National Organization for Marriage violate New Hampshire's elections laws.  In short, the AG's Office found that neither organization has violated NH election laws (see attached).  The original complaint was made by the New Hampshire Democratic Party's Legal Counsel, Ms. Kathleen Sullivan.

Commenting on the decision was Cornerstone-Action's Executive Director, Kevin Smith:

"As we expected, the Attorney General's Office found no merit in Ms. Sullivan's complaint against our partner, the National Organization for Marriage.  Between this complaint and her drafting of the recent anti-free speech bill (HB1459) which was summarily defeated in the House, it is very clear that Ms. Sullivan has one motive: to stifle free speech in the State of New Hampshire.  Thankfully, today's ruling was yet another win for the first amendment."
