Performance Poetry Workshop with NH 2009 Poetry Out Loud Champ

The Poetry Society of New Hampshire will host a Performance Poetry Workshop on Saturday, July 31st at 1PM at Borders Books in Concord, NH. The workshop presenters will be Cote Laramie and Isaac Sargent. The workshop is free for members and $20 for non-members (the cost of a membership).

Cote graduated this June from Concord High School and will be going on to Harvard College, but what brought him to our attention was his prize-winning crackerjack performance at the 2009 NH Poetry Out Loud Competition (a program of the National Endowment for the Arts). Cote represented the state in the finals in Washington DC. Isaac Sargent is an English teacher at Concord High School and coached Cote for this competition.
