In “No Time to Waste,” Bass Says Spending Must Be Checked
or America Could Be Insolvent Within Ten Years
Concord, NH- Peterborough Republican Charlie Bass today released the first in a series of videos that outline his positions on key issues. Bass is running for Congress in New Hampshire's 2nd District.
In “No Time to Waste,” which can be viewed on the video section of the campaign’s website, www.VoteBass.com , Bass states, “…the deficit is climbing so fast, that we’re looking now at the possibility of having our country essentially insolvent in the next ten years.”
Bass continues, “I’ve had enough of the Democrats’ outrageous spending. I’ve had enough of a health care bill that centralizes power in Washington. I’ve had enough of a stimulus package that doesn’t work.”
“I think the time has come to elect somebody who can be effective from the first day. We need effective, competent leadership immediately, and that’s what I offer,” Bass says.
Charlie Bass has a strong record of fighting taxes and cutting unnecessary spending in Congress, including:
• Voted more than sixty times to cut taxes, including votes in 2001 and 2003 to cut income taxes across the board
• Supported permanently eliminating the estate, or 'death' tax
• Fought to extend lower tax rates for small businesses on capital gains, dividends and expenses
