Portsmouth, NH: Friends of the South End proudly present the 6th Annual Fairy House Tours to be held September 18-19, 2010 from noon-4pm. This year's theme is "Fairy Houses Around the World" and the fairy houses will be showcased throughout the historic south end of Portsmouth. Children will have the chance to dress up in their fairy wings with wands and travel the mystical path from Strawbery Banke, into Prescott Park, and to the Wentworth Gardner home.
Special highlights for this year's event begin with children having a NEW building site in the historic woods beside Governor Langdon's Historic Mansion. Over on the Prescott Park stage, the Southern New Hampshire Dance Theater will do excerpts from their ballet "Houses: The Journey, the Magical Migration of the Monarch Butterfly." There will be Fairy Houses from best-selling author Tracy Kane's new mystery book, Forest Secrets, located in Tanglewood Grove. Games and activities will be located in the Children's Garden at Strawbery Banke.
