Jim Bender - US Senate 2010
Hollis, NH- As reported in the New Hampshire Union Leader by John Distaso, the Bender campaign calls Hodes' new anti-Ayotte ads “very enlightening.”
From the Union Leader:
Republican U.S. Senate candidate Jim Bender likes Democrat Paul Hodes' new television ad attacking Kelly Ayotte on the Financial Resources Mortgage scam (see item below).
The ad, which juxtaposes television footage of Ayotte in 2008 describing the role of a new mortgage task force she helped create against footage in June of her telling lawmakers that she had no knowledge of the FRM scandal is "very enlightening to the voters of New Hampshire," the Bender campaign said.
"In her own words, this ad reveals that Kelly Ayotte is not who we thought she was," said Bender campaign manager Beth Lindstrom.
"With this much baggage, voters should question her viability to win in November," said Lindstrom.
Lindstrom said that Ayotte "was the Attorney General and it was her job at the time to get this information on her desk," and investigate the FRM matter.
"She was the state's chief law enforcement officer at the time," said Lindstrom. "She can't have both positions. The ad shows she created a task force to investigate mortgage fraud and then says two years later that she was unaware of it.”
"She's made excuses time after time, but real leaders don't let their hands get tied," Lindstrom said.
