Prescott Park - The Who's TOMMY Comes to Prescott Park in August!

PORTSMOUTH, NH - Prescott Park Arts Festival, in collaboration with The Seacoast Repertory Theatre, will present The Who's TOMMY each Monday night in August on the FairPoint Communications MainStage.  Performances will be on August 2nd, 9th, 16th, and 23rd, and will begin at 8:00pm.  Don't miss the return of the Rep in Prescott Park for the second straight summer!

The Who's rock opera, TOMMY, is Pete Townshend's tale of a young boy's journey from pain to triumph, and promises to be the most electrifying evening of rock and roll ever to play on the Prescott Park stage.  TOMMY, which was first performed by The Who in 1969, was originally conceived by Peter Townshend and Kit Lambert, with contributions to the development by John Entwistle, Keith Moon and Roger Daltrey.

Tables are available for reservation, and delicious boxed lunches are available from The Common Man Restaurant, just around the corner from Prescott Park.  As always, attendees are more than welcome to bring blankets, chairs, and picnic dinners.  There are no tickets, and no fixed admission cost, just a suggested donation of $5-8 per person.

Since 1974, Prescott Park Arts Festival has successfully reached over 3.5 million people through more than 10,000 music, theater, dance and art productions offered at no fixed admission on the banks of the Piscataqua River.  The 36th season will feature the presentation of Peter Pan as the festival's signature musical production, as well as a variety of international artists as part of the River House Restaurant Concert Series and various music festivals.

Located on 3.5 acres in beautiful downtown Portsmouth, Prescott Park Arts Festival is considered to be a gem of the Seacoast and introduces many residents to their first experience with a live performance.  For the entire season schedule or to become a Member or Sponsor, please visit our website at or call 603-436-2848.
