In “Belongs to New Hampshire,” Bass Says
The Second Congressional Seat Belongs to the People
Concord, NH- Peterborough Republican Charlie Bass today released the third in a series of videos that outline his positions on key issues and campaign developments. Bass is running for Congress in New Hampshire's 2nd District.
In “Belongs to New Hampshire,” which can be viewed on Bass’ YouTube Channel and the video section of the campaign’s website, www.VoteBass.com, Bass says, “The Second Congressional District seat never belonged to me and it never will. It belongs to the people who live in the Second Congressional District.”
Bass continues, “The seat is part of New Hampshire, not part of me. I’m going to ask the people of New Hampshire to give me an opportunity to check the out-of-control spending, the enormous growth of government and the arrogance of Congress, the Senate and this Administration – to help check that next year. That’s the reason I am running.”
Charlie Bass has a strong record of fighting taxes and cutting unnecessary spending in Congress, including:
- Voted more than sixty times to cut taxes, including votes in 2001 and 2003 to cut income taxes across the board
- Supported permanently eliminating the estate, or 'death' tax
- Fought to extend lower tax rates for small businesses on capital gains, dividends and expenses
Bass recently became the only candidate in New Hampshire to be endorsed by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
