Net Neutrality and the Free Market

A Free Market Internet

The left has had a decade-long jump on conservatives where it concerns the issue of Net Neutrality.

If we don't catch up soon, we will awake one day and find the federal government controlling every aspect of the Internet from who is allowed to use it, to who can make money on it, to what you are allowed to see on it.

For our future economic interests as a nation
the Internet must remain a free market place, a place of ideas, and a place where everyone has a change to reach for that brass ring.

The left wants every aspect of the Internet under the control of Big Government. We want the Internet to be free of government meddling.

The Right Needs to Wake up to Net Neutrality

Dear Fellow Blogger,

If you are as worried as I am about the left's effort to force ever larger amounts of big government onto our lives, then you should be looking into the issue of Net Neutrality.

You may not have paid a whole lot of attention to this issue, but a look at just who is supporting Net Neutrality should alarm you enough to take a look at this admittedly wonkish issue

The list of those that support Net Neutrality is filled with folks of the far left.

Others that support Net Neutrality:

Of course, Google is another organization that supports Net Neutrality. Founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page are huge supporters of Net Neutrality and these fellows are well known left-wingers.

But the most dangerous proponent of Net Neutrality is our own Federal Communications Commission. Not only does the FCC favor ideas of Net Neutrality but the FCC also wants to use the power they imagine they have to take over the Internet and control it from Washington D.C.

I say "imagine they have" because there are no laws to inform the FCC that they do, indeed, have the power to take over the Internet. They simply intend to take it whether they have the authority or not.

We conservatives have been way late to this issue. The left has been scheming to take control of the Internet for a decade or more. They've even succeeded in getting nearly every Democrat Senate candidate to pledge support for Net Neutrality.

But, even as we are late to the game, we need to pay attention before it is too late.

To help you alert your readers to this issue we will be offering to you the information, articles, and links that will help you get the conservative message about Net Neutrality into the battle to save our Internet.

We hope that you will post our articles and press releases. We also hope that our emailings will interest you enough to join the fight and write a few blog posts about Net Neutrality.

At stake is no less our freedom to blog not to mention the innovation of a free market.

Feel free to drop me a line and do let me know if you are interested in helping to get the free market, conservative narrative on Net Neutrality out to your readers.
