It's good to save the best for last. Don't miss a stellar close to an incredible season.
Join us on Wednesday, August 25 (7pm) as we feature Canada's top folk singer and songwriter David Francey as part of our River House Restaurant Concert Series.
Three of his albums have won the top Canadian JUNO Award (Album of the Year), but it's his ability to captivate the audience with his songs and stories that makes him so special.
A carpenter turned musician, his songs are colored with his experiences. That, and the combination of his wry humor and astute observations and openhearted singing style have earned him a loyal following.
And, the Seacoast's very own Craig Werth has toured the globe with Francey's accompanist since 2006 and will join him in the park both in concert and as a special opening act.
Then, to close the season, we'll present the one and only Richard Thompson
on Friday, August 27 (7pm). And, what a way to end the series it will be.
This iconic British folk rock legend is one of the world's most critically acclaimed and prolific songwriters. He was named on of Rolling Stone Magazine's TOP 20 GUITARISTS OF ALL-TIME and the LA Times TOP 10 GUITARISTS.
Throw in a recent BBC Lifetime Achievement Awards and it's easy to see why his work is admired and recorded by artists worldwide like Bonnie Raitt and Elvis Costello.
Since his teenage years as founding member of the 1960's Fairport Convention, Thompson's astounding body of work includes over 40 albums.
Table reservations sold out within weeks of announcing his show.
If there is one concert to take in this summer, this is it.
