DNC - Sat Across NH: NHDP & OFA-NH to Hold "Moving America Forward" Canvasses

OFA Volunteers Will Knock on Doors to Support Democratic Allies for President Obama as Part of National Democratic Canvass Effort

CONCORD – The New Hampshire Democratic Party Coordinated Campaign and Organizing for America-NH  will take part in a national “Moving America Forward” canvass this Saturday, August 28th, 2010. Volunteers will reach out to 2008 first time voters, sporadic voters, and newly registered voters to talk to them about the importance of electing Democratic allies for President Obama who will keep the country moving in the right direction. Working together with Democratic activists taking part in the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee’s (DCCC) "Fall Kickoff Week," OFA and DCCC supporters have pledged to knock on a combined 400,000 doors nationwide this weekend in support of Democrats up and down the ballot.

As President Obama has made clear in recent weeks, this election represents a choice between Democrats who have worked tirelessly to move the country forward or a return to the failed Republican policies that set the country in the wrong direction. Since taking office, President Obama and Congressional Democrats have passed historic reforms to the health insurance industry and Wall Street, and pulled the American economy back from the brink of depression.
