Concord - New Hampshire Democratic Party Chair Ray Buckley released the following statement observing the 9th anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks.
"Today, across our state and country, Americans and Granite Staters will be taking a movement to remember and reflect on the thousands of lives that were lost exactly nine years ago. The horrific and sudden attack on United States citizens is still incomprehensible. And the shock we felt then remains palpable even now.
"The thoughts and prayers of all New Hampshire Democrats are with the families of the victims of those attacks, with the families of the first responders who lost their lives saving others, and with all the men and women in uniform stationed around the world.
"We also want to recognize the 750 National Guard members in New Hampshire who are being deployed to a yearlong security mission in Kuwait today. Not since World War II have so many Granite State National Guardsmen and women headed overseas on a single mission. We pray they all return home unharmed."
