ALG - Political Groups Call for an End to Rallies and Asks Supporters to Pound the Pavement

September 24th, 2010, Fairfax, VA—America is coming off the summer of rallies. 2010 has seen a number of them as everybody from Glenn Beck to Stephen Colbert has called for their supporters to come out and march on Washington. However, analysts say that this approach is not reaching new supporters and is only preaching to the choir. In a recent op-ed piece in the Washington Examiner, Virginia Tea Party leader Mark Lloyd says, "enough already" with the rallies. Groups such as Virginia's Code Red are enlisting volunteers to go door-to-door and inform voters. This is a hot trend as Election Day approaches.
