WASHINGTON – Congressman Charles F. Bass (NH-02) was sworn in as a member of the 112th Congress today in a ceremony on Capitol Hill.
“I’m truly honored to once again have the opportunity to represent the people of New Hampshire’s Second District in Congress, and I am humbled by the trust they have placed in me.
“It goes without saying that the challenges facing our state and nation are great. There are numerous opportunities ahead for us in the 112th Congress, however, and I am excited to help move our country forward by focusing on improving our economy, creating jobs, and controlling spending.
“I’m confident that by working in a bipartisan manner, we can achieve real compromise. The people of New Hampshire, and indeed the nation, expect nothing less.”
Bass was named to the House Energy and Commerce Committee.
