The word "legend" is often used to describe veteran folk/rocker Jonathan Edwards, whose 1971 million-selling song "Sunshine" ("go away today...") brought him instant fame. He has recorded 15 albums, collaborated with artists like Emmylou Harris and Jimmy Buffett, and done theater, commercials, movie soundtracks, TV series narration, and also has just announced the official release of his first studio album in fourteen years called MY LOVE WILL KEEP.
Edward’s audiences are often left clapping, hollering and screaming for more as Jonathan and his new band wow them with stylistic diversity, heart-warming ballads, & toe tapping hits. The crowd’s applause only increase in excitement when Edwards leads his world class band mates with that pure and powerful tenor in an acapella performance that harkens back to days of old.
"Jonathan is the consummate showman,” says Seth McNally, Director of booking at The Flying Monkey. "This is not an aging rocker, rather a master at the height of his game, and quite frankly his voice has only grown sweeter with age, like a fine wine.”
Lori McKenna developed a reputation very early in her career as a dynamic songwriter, and she was soon a staple of the Boston music scene. Not long after that she came to the attention of Music Giants like Faith Hill, Alison Krauss, Carrie Underwood, and Keith Urban, who all recorded her songs. She then went on a National Tour with Faith Hill, gaining more momentum and widespread acclaim. McKenna is known to be a master at chronicling the small, difficult moments within romantic relationships, beautifully capturing both the pain and beauty of domestic life, and her sixth album, LORRAINE(2011), does just that.
The former Plymouth Theatre on Main Street in Plymouth, NH, the funky, 1920’s era playhouse was renovated in 2010 and updated with all the modern amenities of today’s state of the art theatre. What was previously a two-screen movie theatre has been converted into one intimate performance hall. State of the Art Sound and Lighting was installed by renowned acoustic engineer Bill Blaine. The venue boasts a unique seating layout including Table Sections and bars on both the main floor and the balcony. Reserved table seating offers both food and beverage service in the main hall during performances, starting as early as an hour and a half before showtime.
