"We the People" Founder Jennifer Horn Calls for Boycott of Nevada Caucus if it Doesn't Change Date

Asks Presidential Candidates to Stand with New Hampshire

Nashua, NH--We The People founder Jennifer Horn today called on Nevada to move their January 14 caucus date and if they will not, for the Presidential Candidates to boycott the Nevada caucus.  She released the following statement:

"Nevada's actions are an affront to the democratic process and do a great disservice to the Presidential Campaigns.  The long-honored vetting process of the early states has served the best interests of the nation.  There is no better way to get to know those individuals who would seek to become the next President of the United States. Without it, lesser funded candidates would have no way to get themselves noticed or be heard. The process in place best serves democracy, the citizens of our country and the candidates themselves.

“If Nevada is unwilling to honor the schedule put in place and agreed upon previously, then I would ask our Presidential Candidates to stand with New Hampshire and demonstrate their commitment to the process and respect for rules and boycott the Nevada Caucus.  By refusing to campaign or participate, the candidates will show that Nevada can’t just change the rules and bully everyone into following.”
