WFI Statement On Obama Labor Board & Ambush Elections

Washington, D.C. (November 19, 2011)  – The Workforce Fairness Institute (WFI) today released the following statement in response tonews reports that the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) has scheduled a vote on November 30th concerning controversial changes to workplace election rules, which would result in workers and businesses not having the opportunity to have their voices heard in response to organizing efforts:
“With just weeks before the term of labor radical Craig Becker finally concluding, President Obama’s National Labor Relations Board appears committed to jamming down the throats of employees and employers rules, which would institute ‘quickie’ or ‘ambush’ elections as a final giveaway to labor bosses expected to bankroll next year’s campaign,” said Fred Wszolek, spokesperson for the Workforce Fairness Institute (WFI).  “In its feverish pursuit of a job-killing policy, the so-called ‘independent’ agency has been accused of withholding information from Congress and even violating laws governing staff conduct.  This is ironclad evidence that Congress must pass Workforce Democracy and Fairness Act legislation, which protects critical freedoms that workers and small business owners have earned, including both free speech and choice.”
“Labor Board Rushing To Approve New Rules By Year End To Speed Up Union Elections”:
