Buckley: Romney Deceives Granite Staters in NH Ad
Concord, NH - Today, New Hampshire Democratic Party Chairman Ray Buckley released the following statement in response to Mitt Romney's New Hampshire ad:
"Today's ad against the President by Mitt Romney is a slap in the face to Granite Staters. In this ad, Romney distorts the President's words by taking a quote completely out of context - using footage of the President when he was actually quoting John McCain's campaign advisor. And this is nothing new - it's just the latest in a pattern of dishonesty and deceit that he and his campaign have engaged in for months.
"His first ad also does not outline any piece of his ever-changing record nor any plan for moving forward. The real Romney wants to let foreclosures 'hit the bottom,' wants to give tax breaks to millionaires while calling a tax break for New Hampshire families a 'little band-aid' and wants to put Wall Street back in the driver's seat. Instead of supporting the American Jobs Act which would provide tax relief to 30,000 New Hampshire small firms and allow the typical New Hampshire family to keep $1,980 more of what they earn, Romney wants to return to the failed policies that got us into this mess."
