Perry Campaign Releases New Ad: "Three Streets"

AUSTIN - The Perry campaign today released a 30-second advertisement posted on, not yet trafficked to television stations entitled "Three Streets." To view the ad, please visit

"Gov. Perry is the only true Washington outsider left in this race," said Perry campaign communications director Ray Sullivan. "He has never served in Washington or been an establishment favorite, and he is the only candidate in the race with a plan to overhaul Washington, D.C., by creating a part-time Congress, balancing the budget by 2020, reigning in out-of-control government spending and cutting the federal tax rate to a simple and flat 20 percent. While the nation lost more than 2 million jobs, Texas created more than 1 million net new jobs during Perry's tenure."

"Three Streets" Script:

Announcer: "Iowa Republicans have a crucial decision. Which street will we choose?"

"Mitt Romney: Wall Street. He made millions buying companies and laying off workers." [1]

"Newt Gingrich: K Street, the lobbyist hangout in Washington. Newt got rich, made millions off of Freddie Mac." [2] [3]

"Or Rick Perry: Main Street. The outsider who sparked the creation of a million new jobs. He'll overhaul Washington and toss out the corrupt insiders."

"The choice is clear."

Gov. Perry: "I'm Rick Perry, I approve this message."
