AFP - Call Congress to Stand up to Obama’s Regulators

This week the new Congress has its first chance to stand up to President Obama’s regulators.  Even though citizens rejected Obama’s regulatory power grabs at the ballot box this past November, he is trying to go around Congress and implement his failed agenda through regulation (see Congress must stand up and assert its proper role.

The House Energy and Commerce Committee is taking two huge votes this week to remind the president that Congress makes the laws in this country, not unelected bureaucrats.  The committee will vote on a resolution of disapproval (H.J. Res. 37) to overturn the FCC’s Internet regulations. They will also vote to block the EPA from regulating greenhouse gases (H.R. 910) using the Clean Air Act, something it was never intended to do.

Your representative is on the committee, and today is a great opportunity for you to call in and tell your representative to stand up for the Constitution by voting YES on stopping the EPA and the FCC.

Your representative and their phone number are: Rep. Charles Bass
