IN SUPPORT OF MooreMart AND TROOPS OVERSEAS!
Anthony Kearns of The Irish Tenors to Headline Fundraiser for Serving Troops
Derry, NH -- The world renowned Anthony Kearns, founding member of The Irish Tenors and one of Ireland’s most famous musicians, will perform at a reception on March 24 to help raise funds to support the efforts of MooreMart. MooreMart, based in Nashua, New Hampshire, is a non –profit organization that sends much needed supplies and care packages to troops serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.
To date, MooreMart has sent more than 32,000 packages to troops and recently expanded its mission to include school supplies, toys and clothing to the local children in both Iraq and Afghanistan.
"I'm honored and excited to be coming to New Hampshire to support the efforts of MooreMart and all they do for the troops serving overseas, as well the children in the region," said Mr. Kearns.
Mr. Kearns is not new to helping honor members of our military. Last year, Kearns sang "Amazing Grace" at the National Moment of Remembrance during the Memorial Day Parade in Washington, D.C. and at the Kennedy Center's choral tribute to U.S. military families. He frequently lends his name, time and talent to charitable causes benefiting America's military.
Of Mr. Kearns support of this event, Brian Moore of MooreMart and a military veteran said, “ I am thankful to Anthony Kearns for not only recognizing the efforts and sacrifices of our military but for doing what he can to make sure their needs are not forgotten.”
The event was developed by former NH Senate Majority Leader Bob Clegg, who felt the incredible talent of Mr. Kearns combined with the wonderful cause of MooreMart would make for a successful event. “I think this event and the work of MooreMart truly represent the honor we in New Hampshire have for our troops. I thank Mr. Kearns for agreeing to lend his time and talent to this cause,” Sen. Clegg said.
The event is open to members of the media and Mr. Kearns, Mr. Moore and Senator Clegg will be available for interviews at the event and in the days leading up to it.

About MooreMart: MooreMart began as a family effort to provide needed but unavailable supplies to our brother and his fellow soldiers serving in Iraq. Four years later we continue to supply soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan with anything they need that will make their job a little easier. In fact, we have been so successful in our mission that the soldiers have said that we "carry more supplies than Wal*Mart", and dubbed us "Moore*Mart". Today we have expanded our mission to include the local children in both Iraq and Afghanistan. www.mooremart.org
