MEDO - 2011 World's Championship Chili Cookoff vendor applications are now available

The City of Manchester expects more than 30,000 people to attend the 2011 WCCC

Manchester, NH – Vendor applications are now available for the 2011 World’s Championship Chili Cookoff (WCCC) coming to Veterans Park in downtown Manchester from Friday, September 30th – Sunday, October 2nd.   Last years vendors benefited from the estimated 25,000 spectators that attended the 2010 WCCC from all over New England.  “The WCCC was a wonderful venue!  Not only did it boost my direct business sales, but it was also a wonderful opportunity to meet people from literally all over the world.  What a great way to promote Manchester as a destination!” stated Beth Hudson of Pampered Chef and a 2010 WCCC vendor.

The City is offering a special rate for members of Made in NH and the League of NH Craftsmen. “We really want to use this event to showcase the very best that Manchester and New Hampshire have to offer”, stated Chris Wellington, event organizer and marketing specialist with the City of Manchester’s Economic Development Office.  “This is a great event for any business that is looking to reach a New England-wide audience.”  Applications for merchandise vendors and food vendors are available at

In addition to the 2011 WCCC, the circus will have seven shows at the Verizon Wireless Arena over the weekend, bringing an additional 20,000 people into the city.  Event organizers are working with Barnum & Bailey to bring an elephant and various performers to Veterans Park to kick off the event on Friday.
