NH DHHS Announces Groundbreaking Ceremony for Glencliff Home’s Renewable Energy Power Plant Project

Concord, NH – The New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services

(DHHS) is announcing a groundbreaking ceremony for the Glencliff Home’s

Renewable Energy Power Plant Project. The ceremony will be held on

Thursday at 2 PM at the Glencliff Home in Benton. Glencliff, in

collaboration with the Department of Administrative Services, Bureau of

Public Works and the State Office of Energy are collaborating on this

installation of a new wood chip boiler that will replace the current

boilers. This project will allow the Glencliff Home to continue generating

all its own heat, hot water and electricity more efficiently while

providing environmental benefits. The Glencliff Home provides long-term

nursing home care to New Hampshire residents with mental illness and

developmental disabilities. This project is funded in part through funds

from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).
