NEWPORT, NH – On Wednesday, May 18, 2011, starting at 8:30 a.m., Congressman Charles F. Bass (NH-02) will make several stops in Newport, Claremont, and Lebanon to meet with constituents, talk to business owners, and learn more about the energy efficiency renovations at an affordable housing complex.
This week across the Second District, Bass will be meeting with local officials, business owners, seniors, and constituents to talk about ways to improve the economy and create confidence among job creators in the Granite State and across the nation.
Tomorrow, Wednesday, May 18th, Bass will be participating in the following events (members of the media are invited to attend the following events):
8:30 a.m.: Speak to members of the Newport Chamber of Commerce about his activities in Washington and New Hampshire. The Chamber will meet at the Newport Senior Center, located at 76 South Main Street in Newport.
9:00 a.m.: Meet with seniors at the Newport Senior Center and answer questions about his work in Washington and New Hampshire. The Newport Senior Center is located at 76 South Main Street in Newport.
10:30 a.m.: Attend a celebration of the “greening” of Sugar River Mills, an affordable housing complex in Claremont, with the representatives from the Preservation of Affordable Housing, TD Bank, TD Charitable Foundation, New Hampshire Housing Finance Agency, and the Northern New England Housing Investment Fund. The Preservation of Affordable Housing recently completed energy efficiency renovations at the complex. Sugar River Mills is located at 7 Heritage Drive in Claremont.
1:30 p.m.: Tour TomTom and learn more about the company’s operations in New Hampshire. TomTom is a provider of location and navigation products and services. TomTom’s offices in Lebanon employ nearly 300 people who work to produce much of the company’s location content and serve across various departments, including content production, engineering, sales, marketing and operations. TomTom is located at 11 Lafayette Street in Lebanon.
