The State Senate is working to complete its version of the state budget. The NH Council of Churches offers religious leaders the workshop "Budgets as Moral Documents" to assist in teaching, preaching and advocating from a values perspective.
Three expert presenters: Budget Process & Impacts, Biblical & Theological Grounding of Budgets as Moral Documents, Pastoral Challenges in NH.
Come to Nashua, Manchester or bring the workshop to your community.

How can religious leaders with a passionate love for the least among us engage our people in the pews, the public and locally elected policy makers? 

 

Attend "State Budgets & Values"  Workshop for religious leaders:

 

1. Gives religious leaders knowledge of the budget process and potential human damage the House state budget creates;

2. Grounds Budgets as Moral Documents in the biblical and theological lenses of faith;

3. Encourages you to help one another in teaching, preaching & advocating for the state's poor and vulnerable;

4. Prepares clergy and lay leaders to teach, preach, and advocate with confidence and knowledge;

5. Fosters a civil dialogue among clergy (and any invited lawmakers).

 

 Follow-up materials for congregation/parish instruction, discussion, and simple actions.
