NHFRW - Republican Women Host Annual Lilac Luncheon May 21 with RNC Co-Chair Sharon Day

CONCORD, NH --- The New Hampshire Federation of Republican Women will host the 2011 Annual Lilac Luncheon on Saturday, May 21 at the Grappone Center in Concord, NH.  The luncheon will begin with registration at 11:30 a.m.  This year’s keynote speaker is Republican National Committee Co-Chair Sharon Day.  Day, elected in January of this year, is a businesswoman and Republican activist from Florida now serving in the second-in-command position for the party’s national organization under newly elected RNC Chairman Reince Priebus.

This year’s luncheon organizers have expanded the traditional luncheon event to include a full morning of political activism workshops where attendees will learn organizational techniques, strategies for building membership rolls and using new technology to win elections.  The workshops begin with a continental breakfast at 8:30 a.m. and are free to all luncheon attendees.

“We are so excited about this year’s event.  It’s always a great day and coming off of last November’s victories it’s going to be especially enjoyable,” said Christine Peters, former state Chairwoman of the group and one of the organizers of the event.  “Not only is it a great opportunity to celebrate with our members and associates from across the state but we’re looking ahead to 2012, training and equipping our grassroots activists starting now.”

The event is being sponsored this year by potential 2012 GOP Presidential candidates Governor Mitt Romney, Governor Tim Pawlenty, former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum and by New Hampshire’s US Senator Kelly Ayotte and US Congressman Charlie Bass.

Tickets for the luncheon are still available.  For more information, please call Jen Wrobleski at (603)724-7771 or by e-mail at jenwrobleski@gmail.com .

The NHFRW has eight local clubs across the state.  Membership is open to all Republican women and men are also welcomed as Associate members.  For more information, please visit the website at www.nhfrw.org .
