When we launched YouCut over a year ago, we could never have imagined the extent of the public's enthusiasm for the effort - millions of votes have been cast, from all over the country, to drive support for the House's efforts to cut spending.
The YouCut program aims to do more than communicate what the House is doing; it is our goal to modernize the way the House operates, by finding new ways to substantively include you in the legislative process.
Towards that goal, we are now beginning YouCut: Phase II - each week, you will still vote on three spending cuts, but the program has been expanded to include the entire legislative process. You will now be able to track and participate, as your legislation is introduced, moves through committees, and is brought to the House floor.
Over the upcoming weeks, several new features will be launched on the website, so be sure to stay tuned for updates and further announcements.
For now, the next three items have been posted on the YouCut website, click here to cast your vote on which legislation we should include in the YouCut program.
