Chowdah Festival this Saturday at Prescott Park

27th Annual WOKQ Chowdah Festival
Co-Sponsored by Taste of the Seacoast

You read right! Green chowder this year!
No, we're not celebrating St. Patrick's Day in June, but have turned this popular (and incredibly delicious) event into a completely green, zero-waste event.

This Saturday (June 4), you will enjoy more than a dozen restaurants sign-up bannerserving up their best Chowder, as well as compostable bowls and metallic spoons (bring your own, if you like!).

The bowls will be collected by EcoMovement and sent to a local composting facility, ultimately returning to organic material to help grow the park flowers we all love. A perfect circle!

And, considering the event uses nearly 40,000 bowls, this will divert a LOT of waste from our land fills.

This year, not only will your belly feel good, but so will your heart knowing our efforts have removed all waste from the event!
Join us on Saturday, June 4, at 11:30 to sample the best Chowder from restaurants competing for your vote to win People's Choice Best Chowder.

NEW this year: Enjoy TWO festivals for the price of one! Take our FREE boat ferry ride, provided by Portsmouth Harbor Cruises, between the Chowdah Festival and the 3rd Annual Piscataqua Waterfront Festival.

AND, have the opportunity to enjoy fresh shucked oysters provided by Little Bay Oyster Company during the Chowdah Festival.

Admission is $10/adult, $5/youth (12&under), and FREE for members (click here to become a member and enjoy expedited entry at Chowdah!)
