Activist of the Month - Mary Rose McCoy
Mary Rose McCoy first became involved with Americans for Prosperity at a conference in 2007 where she saw an AFP booth, and realized that her values were aligned with AFP's. She has been active in the AFP Michigan state chapter ever since, and her efforts have been invaluable. Her proudest accomplishment is her involvement with AFP Foundation, our related organization, in organizing Michigan's Defending the American Dream Summit in 2010.
Mary Rose continues to volunteer for AFP-Michigan. She is currently advocating for Right-to-Work laws, and she hopes to be successful in getting the state legislature to pass Right-to-Work legislation. Mary Rose is currently studying history at the undergraduate level and hopes to pursue a career in politics or education.
