US Rep Bass to Kick Off Green Jobs Tour in Peterborough, Keene

Monday, June 6, 2011, starting at 12 p.m.

PETERBOROUGH, NH – On Monday, June 6, 2011, starting at noon, Congressman Charles F. Bass (NH-02) will kick off his green jobs tour across the Second District, speaking to the Peterborough Rotary, visiting the Monadnock Conservancy, and participating in a roundtable discussion on alternative energy.

Next week across the Second District, Bass will meet with local officials, nonprofit organizations, business owners, and constituents to discuss how innovations in alternative energy technologies can create jobs and grow the economy.

On Monday, June 6th, Bass will be participating in the following meetings in the Monadnock Region (members of the media are invited to attend):

12 p.m.: Speak to the Peterborough Rotary Club and answer questions.  The meeting will take place at the Monadnock Country Club, located at 49 High Street in Peterborough.

4 p.m.: Visit the Monadnock Conservancy and discuss conservation issues in New Hampshire.  The Conservancy is located at 15 Eagle Court (second floor) in Keene. 

5 p.m.: Participate in a roundtable discussion on alternative energy and technology at Southwestern Community Services.  Representatives from the following organizations will be participating in the discussion about the future of the alternative energy and green technology field: Keene State College, Monadnock Economic Development Corporation, Antioch University, the Mountain Corporation, the City of Keene, the Southwest Regional Planning Commission, Keene Housing Authority, New Hampshire Housing Authority, and Southwestern Community Services.  The roundtable will be held at Southwest Community Services’ Railroad Square senior housing complex, located at 49 Community Way in Keene.
