Representative Frank Guinta is adding a new tool for keeping in touch with the people he represents. He is holding District Discussions around the First Congressional District. They are one-hour meetings where the Congressman is available to talk one-on-one with any constituent about any topic. The first was held in Auburn on Monday afternoon. The next is scheduled for this Thursday morning in Hampton, with a special focus on senior-related issues.
The District Discussions are yet another way to supplement his ongoing efforts to stay connected to Granite Staters. Representative Guinta is actively engaged in traditional Town Hall meetings, a weekly e-mail newsletter, tele-Town Hall meetings via conference phone calls, open office hours with his staffers, a bi-monthly newspaper column, an active presence on Facebook and other social media outlets, and frequent public appearances.
“The best way to effectively serve people in Washington is to stay in constant contact with them,” Guinta said. “District Discussions are yet another opportunity for me to listen to Granite Staters’ thoughts, concerns, ideas and questions, and for me to explain what I am doing in Washington.”
