AFPNH - As Expected Lynch Veto's RGGI Repeal

With the New Hampshire primary a mere seven months away, AFP-NH is working hard to ensure you have ample opportunities to meet with and speak to the presidential candidates. Plans are underway for an event in the Lakes Region later this summer that will feature several conservative members of the legislature as well as presidential candidates. The details of this event are currently being finalized but I will contact you as soon as we have them.

In legislative news, as I mentioned last week, Governor Lynch vetoed the Shoreland Protection Act, including the repeal of New Hampshire’s participation in the cap-and-tax scheme known as RGGI. While the General Court is out of session until August, the Speaker retains the right to call members for a vote as needed. AFP-NH will continue to monitor the fate of the RGGI repeal and keep you posted on any activities to override the Governor’s veto and how you can help!

Also, I am pleased to announce I will be speaking at the August Monthly Meeting of the Amherst GOP Committee on August 6 at 8AM at Joey’s Diner on Route 101A. I am always happy to be presented with the opportunity to engage with activists.  The best way for you or your group to make such a request is via the Speaking Request Program.

Finally, please take a look at the updated version of our Granite State Gatherings section.

I understand firsthand that summers are busy and the requests for your time are numerous. Thank you for your continuing support of our efforts.
