US Rep Bass Making Stops in Jaffrey, Swanzey, Keene

JAFFREY, NH – On Thursday, August 11, 2011, starting at 7:15 a.m., Congressman Charles F. Bass (NH-02) continues his month-long jobs tour with stops at the Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary Club, Moore Nanotechnology Systems, and Vision 2020.

Throughout the month of August, Bass will be meeting with business owners and employees, local officials, and constituents about how Congress can make it easier for the private sector to grow and create jobs.  The week of August 8-12th, Bass will meet with local officials across the District and tour a number of high-tech and manufacturing companies.

Members of the media are invited to attend the following events on August 11th:

7:15 a.m.: Speak to the Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary Club and give an update about his work in Washington and New Hampshire.  The Rotary Club meets at the Shattuck Golf Club at 53 Dublin Road in Jaffrey.

9:00 a.m.: Tour Moore Nanotechnology Systems, a developer of ultra-precision manufacturing systems for the production of advanced optics for the consumer electronics, defense, aerospace, lighting, medical, and automotive sectors.  Moore Nanotechnology Systems is located at 230 Old Homestead Highway in Swanzey.

10:15 a.m.: Meet with Vision 2020, a community-wide health initiative with partners Cheshire Medical Center / Dartmouth-Hitchcock Keene and Antioch New England Institute, designed to engage the citizens of Cheshire County in the process of becoming the nation’s healthiest community by 2020.  The meeting will take place at Cheshire Medical Center, located at 580-590 Court Street in Keene.
