AFPNH - Presidential Summer Celebration this weekend!

I hope to see many of you at the AFP Foundation-NH events this weekend where we will play host to at least FOUR presidential candidates, three of whom have attended previous AFP-NH events.

First, this Saturday, Herman Cain and Thaddeus McCotter will be among the presidential candidates joining us at our Fun in the Sun Family Cookout at the Alpine Grove Pavilion in Hollis. Mr. McCotter is also a sponsor of the event which runs from 11AM to 4PM. To sponsor the event, secure a table or purchase tickets ($10 per person or $20 per family), please contact Mar-Mar Rogers at or 603-891-5871 or 603-682-4557. You can also click here to purchase tickets!

On Sunday, we move to Center Harbor where AFPF-NH will join State Senator Jeanie Forrester and State Senate Majority Leader Jeb Bradley in co-hosting our AFPF-NH Presidential Summer Celebration!  The event will take place from 2PM to 4PM at the former Our Lady of Victory Church and feature Senator Rick Santorum, Thaddeus McCotter and Governor Buddy Roemer. Tickets are ONLY $20/person or $30/couple. Please click here to purchase your tickets now!

Second, remember to mark your calendars for November 4-5 when Americans for Prosperity Foundation will host their 5th annual Defending the American Dream Summit in Washington, D.C.! I strongly encourage you to consider attending this educational and exciting event which will feature addresses from some excellent speakers and give you the opportunity to interact with many of your fellow conservative activists. It truly is a can’t-miss event!

Third, as you may have seen on Friday night former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney became the first presidential candidate to sign AFP-NH Honorary Chairman Tom Thomson’s “My Pledge to the American People,” promising to cut taxes, fees, regulation and spending among other items to ensure economic prosperity.

Fourth, I hope you will join us for some end of summer fun by participating in our Tracking Oscar Contest.  Earlier this week, we removed Oscar the “bull” moose from the Styles Bridge House in Concord where he has been on display since AFP-NH Honorary Chairman Tom Thomson loaned him to then Governor Merrill in 1995. While Oscar waits in an undisclosed location north of Concord for transport to his next residence, we thought it would be fun to solicit guesses as to his next home. Beginning next week, we will issue a weekly clue regarding Oscar’s destination that will help you to track him. The first person to correctly email Joy King with Oscar’s final destination will receive a prize!

Finally, be sure to check out our Granite State Gatherings section for additional information on many of the great events being hosted around the state.
