NHDP - Bob Perry Sworn into Office as New Hampshire's Newest State Representative

Concord, NH - Following an upset victory in the Republican leaning Strafford District Three, Bob Perry was sworn into office as New Hampshire's newest state representative in Somersworth this morning.   Perry defeated Republican Free State candidate Honey Puterbaugh on August 9 with 58% of the vote to 41% of the vote.

"Bob Perry's victory was a complete and total rejection of Republican House Speaker Bill O'Brien's reckless job killing agenda.  In a historically Republican district, New Hampshire voters turned out in the middle of summer to send a loud and clear message to the out of control Republican majority," said Ray Buckley Chair of the New Hampshire Democratic Party.  "The relentless attempts to make cigarettes cheaper but college more expensive, slash women's health care, and kill jobs by taxing hospitals must stop immediately."

"Along with the voters in Strafford district three, House Democrats are thrilled to have Bob back in the State House.  He has been and will continue to be a strong voice for working families and common sense in Concord, standing up to the irresponsible attacks on education and job killing taxes on some of our state's largest employers," said House Democratic Leader Terie Norelli.
