AFPNH - Meet James O'Keefe Saturday, September 17th!

First, a reminder that our Tracking Oscar Contest will begin soon!

With the official start of moose hunting season in New Hampshire weeks away, Oscar the AFP-NH “bull” moose is almost ready to be tracked. As you may recall, Oscar was recently removed from his home at the Styles Bridge House by AFP-NH Honorary Chairman Tom Thomson and myself. Please see below a photo of Tom with Oscar that day.

Since then, Oscar traveled north from Concord and is being readied for his trip to his new home.

While we cannot begin our Tracking Oscar Contest until Oscar is ready, we thought it would be fun to have a practice round this week in preparation for the real contest.

The first person to email Joy King with the most accurate guess as to Oscar’s estimated live weight will be recognized in next week’s email blast! I hope you will study the picture above and take a moment to enter a guess.

Secondly, I am very pleased to announce that Americans for Prosperity Foundation New Hampshire has secured investigative journalist and filmmaker, James O’Keefe, to participate in an upcoming discussion we will be hosting entitled, “The Rise and Fall of Traditional Media.”

The discussion will take place on Saturday, September 17 from 9:30AM to Noon in Manchester.

Please plan to attend what promises to be an educational and engaging discussion on the state of the media with James O’Keefe, a man who is always driving the story and making news. Tickets are only $25/person and can be purchased by going to THIS LINK.

Third, I want to thank everyone who attended our events over the weekend in Hollis and Center Harbor. I appreciate you taking time out of your busy schedules to support our efforts. In particular, I want to thank Mar-Mar Rogers and Di Lothrop from Saturday’s event in Hollis as well as State Senator Jeanie Forrester and State Senate Majority Leader Jeb Bradley from our event in Center Harbor whose efforts and support made both events successful. Thank you all!

The Center Harbor event was attended by four presidential candidates – Senator Rick Santorum, Governor Buddy Roemer, Governor Gary Johnson and Chris Hill – three of whom; Senator Santorum, Governor Roemer and Mr. Hill - signed AFP-NH Honorary Chairman Tom Thomson’s “My Pledge to the American People,” promising to cut taxes, fees, regulation and spending among other items to ensure economic prosperity. Below is a photo of Senator Santorum signing the pledge while Tom looks on.
