NH Bible Society Preparing for 200th Anniversary
nhbs birthday sealSince 1812, The New Hampshire Bible Society has actively distributed the Bible in New Hampshire.  For almost 200 years we have been offering God's word into the hands, heads and hearts of the people of New Hampshire. 


In honor of our anniversary NH Bible Society has donated our archives of to the UNH Dimond Library's Milne collection.  Jessica McClain and Bill Ross have catalogued and placed online 200 years of NHBS records.  You can check it out at


Look forward to the publishing of "The Word in NH - 200 Years" that is being edited by Rev. Maren Tirabassi, NHBS board member and author of 27 different books.  Contact Rev. Tirabassi at if you have an interest in writing a short chapter.
NHBS at the Catholic Revival in Manchester
Catholic REvivalThe NH Bible Society was one of the many vendors present at the Greater Manchester Catholic Tent Revival held at Veterans Park in Manchester, NH.  On Sunday July 17 hundreds of Catholics celebrated their faith and NHBS was able to distribute free scriptures in both English and Spanish to attendees. 
Spreading the Good News at Londonderry Old Home Day
Through the generous support of the American Bible Society and our local donators, the Church in Action was able to distribute FREE NIrV Children's Bibles and CEV Read and Learn Bibles to families who visited their booth at the Old Home Day in Londonderry NH.  Over 100 hundred Bibles were distributed in one day in this effort to provide outreach to children and parents during this celebration on August 20, 2011.  The Church in Action is an ecumenical ministry of the Orchard Christian Fellowship Church, Journey Church and Londonderry Christian Church.   
Bibles Distributed at the 11th Annual African Caribbean Festival
The Covenant of Promise Christian Fellowship a new multicultural, multinational non-denominational church in Manchester NH was looking for a way to reach out to minister to the international immigrants in southern New Hampshire.  The NH Bible Society helped them do this through granting them Bibles and scripture portions to distribute at the 11th Annual African Festival held in Manchester New Hampshire held on August 22 in Manchester NH.  Over 1000 pieces of scripture were distributed at the festival helping them according to Pastor Matip Mpom,  "reach out to the community of Manchester and surrounding cities with the Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ."
