NASHUA, NH – On Tuesday, August 9, 2011, starting at 10 a.m., Congressman Charles F. Bass (NH-02) will visit the Nashua National Fish Hatchery and make several stops in Salem, including the Senior Center, the Town Offices, several fire stations, and the local NH Employment Security Office.
Throughout the month of August, Bass will be meeting with business owner and employees, local officials, and constituents about how Congress can make it easier for the private sector to grow and create jobs. The week of August 8-12th, Bass will meet with local officials across the District and tour a number of high-tech and manufacturing companies.
Members of the media are invited to attend the following events on August 9th:
10 a.m.: Visit the Nashua National Fish Hatchery, which supports Atlantic salmon, American shad, and other aquatic species restoration efforts in the Merrimack River and other rivers, as well as conducts watershed education and fish restoration programs for approximately 1,500 students and adults. The Nashua National Fish Hatchery is located at 151 Broad Street in Nashua.
12 p.m.: Visit the Salem Senior Center and give a brief update to seniors about his work in Washington and New Hampshire. Bass will visit the Russell & Roberta Ingram Senior Center located at 1 Sally Sweet Way in Salem.
12:30 p.m.: Visit the Salem Town Hall and meet briefly with town officials. The Salem Town Hall is located at 33 Geremonty Drive in Salem.
1:15 p.m.: Visit the Salem Central Fire Department, located at 152 Main Street in Salem.
2:30 p.m.: Stop by NH Employment Security Office, where a member of Bass’ staff holds regularly-scheduled public office hours for constituents every Tuesday. Bass will also meet with employees at the NH Employment Security Office. The Office is located at 29 South Broadway in Salem.
3:00 p.m.: Visit the South Salem Fire Station, located at 170 Lawrence Road in Salem.
3:15 p.m.: Stop by the Salem Public Works Department, located at 21 Cross Street in Salem.
3:45 p.m.: Stop by the North Salem Fire Station, located at 279 North Main Street in Salem.
