DNC Chair Wasserman Schultz's Statement on the Retirement of NH Governor John Lynch

Washington, DC – Today, following New Hampshire Governor John Lynch’s announcement that he will not seek re-election in 2012, DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz released the following statement:

“For four consecutive terms, Governor John Lynch has served the people of New Hampshire with distinction, drive and dedication.  Bringing his experience as a former business executive to the state government, Governor Lynch has worked hard to create jobs and expand economic opportunities in the Granite State.  Due in no small part to his skilled leadership, New Hampshire currently enjoys one of the lowest unemployment rates in the nation.

“Next year, New Hampshire will lose a very strong chief executive when Governor Lynch leaves office.  However, I thank him for what will be eight great years of public service to the people of New Hampshire, and I wish the very best to him, his wife Susan, and their children Jacqueline, Julia and Hayden.”
