NASHUA, NH – On Thursday, September 29, 2011, starting at 11:00 a.m., Congressman Charles F. Bass (NH-02) will attend a demonstration of the F-35 fighter jet at BAE Systems in Nashua and later visit the Reach Out and Read program in Lebanon.
11:00 a.m.: Attend a demonstration by Lockheed Martin of the F-35 fighter jet and give remarks at BAE Systems, which manufactures critical components of the F-35 including the aft fuselage, tails, wing tips, fuel systems and life support. The project supports approximately 4,800 jobs in New Hampshire. BAE Systems is located at 65 Spit Brook Road in Nashua.
1:30 p.m.: Visit the Reach Out and Read program to read to children and learn more about the organization’s literacy programs and partnerships with doctors. In New Hampshire, more than 23,000 students participate annually in Reach Out and Read programs. The event will take place at the Pediatric Clinic at the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock (waiting room area on 6L), located at 1 Medical Center Drive in Lebanon.
