US Rep. Frank Guinta statement on August's 9.1% unemployment rate

(Washington – September 2, 2011)    Rep. Frank Guinta (NH-01) released the following statement on the unchanged 9.1% unemployment rate in August:

“We’ve got to stop the steady drumbeat of bad unemployment news each month.  There was zero hiring in August.  That’s unacceptable when people are crying out for good, middle class jobs.  I’ll be listening closely when President Obama reveals his jobs plan next Thursday night.  I hope he doesn’t repeat his earlier unsuccessful stimulus spending approach.  Washington must get out of the way and remove the fiscal roadblocks that are keeping job creators from hiring new employees.  My ongoing “Getting Granite Staters Back to Work” initiative will be hosting another job fair, roundtables for job creators and other events this fall.”
