The Reagan Foundation, with POLITICO and NBC News will host the fourth GOP Presidential Debate on Wednsday September 7th at 8:00 PM EST.  Coverage of the debate can be seen on the MSNBC News channel and will host all major 2012 Republican Presidential Candidates.

The Five That Could Win

With the straw poll in Ames now in the rear view mirror, the presidential campaign in Iowa is entering a new stage. Looking back, Ames seems like it was the first round of the NFL playoffs. A few candidates, Rick Perry and Mitt Romney, got first round byes. The rest needed survive the straw poll to get to the next round.  Those who advanced, Michele Bachmann, Congressman Ron Paul, and former Senator Rick Santorum, now will square off against Perry and Romney. Others could emerge, but it’s doubtful.

Santorum: I 'absolutely' can win

HARRISBURG — As Rick Santorum tells it, the national media is to blame for his invisibility, Rick Perry is not a real conservative and "gay jihad" is an accurate description of his harshest critics.  And when he wakes up in the morning, despite every poll saying otherwise, he "absolutely" believes he's the man who will face President Barack Obama in the 2012 general election.

Don’t count out the rest of the GOP field yet

The national media have virtually proclaimed the Republican presidential race to be a two-man fight between Texas Gov. Rick Perry and former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney. They point to national poll numbers, which are largely fed by huge media coverage and name identification, as evidence that Perry is now the front-runner and the rest of the field is kaput. Even Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) is finding it hard to maintain the media spotlight and her standing in the polls.
