Gov. Roemer Continues Issue Activism During Presidential Campaign

Manchester, NHGovernor Charles E. “Buddy” Roemer's campaign today announced an event taking place tomorrow at Community Partners, Strafford County's community mental health agency. Governor Roemer previously participated in a $400 haircut for autism in Concord, to benefit the Autism Society of America.
"It is important to stay involved in the community," said Governor Roemer, "even if you are running for President. I may not be the most well known candidate, but that doesn't mean we can't still try to help improve people's lives during the campaign. I'd like to help bring attention to the cause of those struggling with mental illnesses, acquired brain disorders and developmental disabilities."
"Perhaps I get this sense of duty to help from my wife Scarlett, who is an oncology nurse," Roemer said. "You think running for President is tough? Sometimes, I marvel at how difficult that job is. She is the best person I know."
Governor Roemer will tour the Old Dover Road facilities in Rochester and meet with clients at 2:00pm on Friday, January 6. The event is free and open to the public, and interested media are asked to respond to
