AFP - A gallon of gas for $1.84?

e’re bringing back a gallon of gas for $1.84.

To show just how bad policies lead to higher costs for American families, AFP has been holding events nationwide where the first 150 people that showed up got to fill up their tanks for only $1.84 per gallon.

Why $1.84?

Because $1.84 is the price we paid for a gallon of gas back in January 2009, right before President Obama’s inauguration.

We’ve held events like this everywhere from Colorado, to Ohio, to Iowa. And we might even be coming somewhere near Peterborough --but only if we can count on your support today to keep this project alive.

And believe me--I can’t tell you how critical it is that we keep this project going. There’s no better way to mobilize our friends and neighbors, and teach them about the dangers of bad public policy, than showing them what they were paying at the pump.

But, like anything, this project doesn’t come cheap. In fact, gas is so expensive that the difference comes to about $2.50 a gallon.

If you could chip in just $5 right now, we’d be able to pay for two gallons of gas--and keep this project running just a little bit longer.

Or, you can sponsor four gallons for $10, ten gallons for $25--or however much you can afford.

Robert, you and I both remember when gas hit $2 a gallon. And then $3. And now, in much of our country, it’s even hitting $4 a gallon--reaching deeper and deeper into the wallets of regular Americans like you and me, with no relief or end in sight.

But the reason we’re doing this isn’t to give our friends and neighbors cheap gas--although, believe me, folks appreciate that sort of thing--but, rather, to draw attention to how Obama’s policies affect each and every one of us every single day.

Already, the results have been tremendous--not just from the dozens of cars backed up a whole mile down the road at some events, but also from the amount of attention we’re getting from the national media.

Everywhere we go, news cameras and journalists have their attention on our "Obama’s Failing Agenda" buses--and, more importantly, focused on the issue that Obama’s policies are failing--and they’re hurting Americans of all stripes.

Robert, every day, we’re reaching more and more people on the road with our "Obama’s Failing Agenda" bus tour. And they’re finally seeing just how much President Obama’s agenda is failing--and how we have to take action right now, if we’re going to roll back his policies, and get our nation back off track.

On our end, AFP has to keep doing what we do best: bring our case right to the front doors--and local gas stations--of the American people.

But, as with anything, we’re only as strong as our 2 million activists. And we can’t continue this project, and keep making an impact, without your critical help right now.

Can we count on you to help us to demonstrate Obama’s failing policies, by helping us pay for these gallons of gas?

Please click here to give $5, $10, $25--or more--right now to AFP.

Robert, thank you for your help right now--and I know that, with you fighting alongside us, we’ll finally be able to roll back Obama’s reckless policies, and help the American people start to recover.
