Manchester - Ovide is proud to have earned an A- rating and the endorsement of the NRA. Maggie received a D, and her vote to increase the pistol permit fee is “Maggie’s Tax of the Day” for October 22, 2012.
Sen. Hassan set her sites on out-of staters for this increase. As a part of the 2009 budget, Sen. Hassan voted to increase the fee for non-resident's to register a firearm by 400% from $20 to $100.
Yet another tax increase included in Sen. Hassan’s failed 2009 budget, one she continues to say she is proud of despite the dozens of taxes and fees included. Votes like this help to explain why the NRA warned Sen. Hassan could not be trusted to protect our Second Amendment rights and why the voters of her district fired her in 2010.
