CONCORD (NH) – Charlie Bass’s reelection campaign today received the endorsement of Berlin Mayor Paul Grenier. The Democratic Mayor crossed the aisle to support Bass, citing his advocacy of the North Country and commitment to sound, bipartisan economic principles.
“As a Democrat, I truly appreciate Charlie Bass' willingness and commitment to work with members of both parties to solve the challenges facing our nation. This is what working families in Berlin and the rest of New Hampshire need to get our economy back on track and create jobs.”
Upon receiving the endorsement, Charlie Bass remarked, “It’s an honor to have Mayor Grenier’s support. Working with the Mayor has been a pleasure, and through our bipartisan relationship, I’m proud of what we’ve been able to accomplish for Berlin and the entire North Country.”
The endorsement comes a week after Charlie Bass attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new federal prison in Berlin – a facility that will bring hundreds of jobs to the area. Bass has fought actions that put funding for the prison in jeopardy.
