Concord, NH- When voters took to the polls on November 6th in Nashua Ward 4, they didn't know that they were voting  for was a convicted felon, who served time in the Belknap County House of Corrections. As reported by the Laconia Daily Sun and Nashua Telegraph, Stacie Laughton served four months in jail on felony charges for conspiracy to commit credit card fraud in 2008.

"The voters of that representative district deserve to have someone in office who will be fully upfront and honest with them," said New Hampshire Republican State Committee Chairman Wayne MacDonald. "I'm disappointed to hear that the opposite is happening with the election of Ms. Laughton, who didn't come clean with the voters about her record of conspiracy and fraud.

“I support House Majority Leader Pete Silva on his comments that Representative-elect Laughton resign and I join him on calling for Governor-elect Hassan and Incoming Speaker Norelli to make this a reality. The voters have a fundamental right to know who is seeking to serve them in the New Hampshire House of Representatives.”
